Dr. David Nguyen obtained his Bachelor of Science degree in Biochemistry from the University of Calgary followed by a Master of Science degree in Microbiology from the University of Hawaii, Honolulu, United States. After working as a researcher at the Foothills Hospital for a number of years, Dr. Nguyen went on to complete his Doctor of Dental Medicine degree at the University of Sydney, in Sydney, Australia. Having spent many years abroad for school, Dr. Nguyen is happy to be back home and to have the privilege to serve the city that he grew up in.

Dr. Nguyen enjoys and aims to be proficient in all areas of dentistry, including restorative dentistry, crown and bridgework, complete and partial dentures, root canal therapy and teeth extractions. He is passionate about continuing education and has taken courses in endodontics and oral surgery as well. Dr. Nguyen is committed to giving back to the community and has volunteered with the Calgary Urban Project Society (CUPS) dental program in downtown Calgary, as well as abroad in Vietnam as part of a dental mission with EMAS Canada (Education, Medical Aid and Service.) Dr. Nguyen strives to create a welcoming and comfortable environment for his patients and does his best to treat all of his patients like family.

During his spare time, Dr. Nguyen enjoys spending time with family and friends, as well as staying active through activities such as weightlifting, hockey, golfing, tennis, mountain biking and snowboarding.
