Dr. Aly Dhanji

Dr. Aly Dhanji is a Canadian and Australian board certified general dentist who is thrilled to be running Monarch Landing Dental with his longtime colleague and friend Dr. David Nguyen. Dr. Dhanji is a born and raised Calgarian and completed his undergraduate degree in Kinesiology, majoring in exercise physiology, at the University of Calgary. He was fortunate to be able to explore the world and travelled to Australia to complete his Doctor of Dental Medicine at the University of Sydney. During his time in Sydney he was pleased to be able to partake in a dental mission to Cambodia, where he provided dental services to underprivileged and underserved communities. Upon returning home to Canada he started his career as a dentist working in Medicine Hat. He also volunteered on weekends in Calgary at the Alex Community Health Bus providing dental health care to those struggling financially. A few years ago he moved back to Calgary permanently and has worked in the NE for the last four years. He is excited to be working at Monarch Landing Dental, which is closer to his home in Killarney.

Dr. Dhanji enjoys all areas of dentistry including restorative work, prosthodontics (crowns and bridges), extractions, endodontics (root canals), implants, pediatrics and making dentures. He continues to attend courses all over North America to further the services he can offer to patients. Dr. Dhanji is an avid believer in the modernization of dentistry and incorporating the most up to date techniques in his practice, including digital dentistry. He strives for every appointment to end with a smile on his patients’ faces.

When not busy at work, Dr. Dhanji enjoys spending time with his wife in the great outdoors, either cross-country skiing in the winter or playing tennis and hiking in the summer.
